Set your DVR'S!

Karyn, our photographer, informed me today that the show 'Get Married' on Lifetime TV will be airing an episode tomorrow on southern weddings.
They'll be featuring some of Karyn's photos and the scoop on the traditions, food and wine, hospitality, and locations that make the south one of the most popular wedding destinations.
Tune in at 7:30 am tomorrow morning! If you miss it the episode will be streaming online for the next week or so.

***THE FIRST VENUE PICTURED IN THIS LITTLE PREVIEW IS NONE OTHER THAN THE CARRIAGE HOUSE AT OUR VENUE, MAGNOLIA PLANTATION. ***

  2. i jusssst remembered that i hadn't responded to your question about macarons on my blog! sorrrry!

you can totally order macarons from paulette online. the only trouble is that the minimum order for shipping is 2 dozen macarons, and the overnight shipping they use is pretty pricey. it would cost $54 total ($36 for 24 macarons + $18 for shipping) to have them shipped to you.

reallllly expensive, but i'm totally crazy and think it's worth it. they are soooo delicious and special. and you just can't find them everywhere! and when you do find them, a lot of times they SUCK. i was talking to the owner about this conundrum, and he said that the problem is they are the MOST difficult thing to make out of all french pastries. a lot of precision and timing goes into getting them just right.

the good thing about having to order so many would be that you could try them all! levi and i tried 9 flavors on monday and liked every single one of them. our favorites were:

    violet cassis
    passion fruit (amaaazing)
    columbian coffee
    jasmine tea

    here's their website:
