Weekend Update

We had the best family vacation!
It could be said that I throw the word 'perfect' around with too much ease, but I promise, this weekend was perfect.

We arrived in town Friday afternoon, picked up Tucker's permit for the beach, checked into our hotel, picked up Melvin's (I ate more food than any one person ever should), sat by the pool for a bit, watched I Love You Man (funny movie!) and went to bed pretty early so we'd be ready for a full day of fun on Saturday.

We started the morning off on the beach.

It was incredible.
So many people where there with their dogs running in and out of the ocean, chasing tennis balls, frolicking in the sand, it would have warmed your heart.

After working up a bit of a sweat, we headed to the Charleston Farmer's Market.
I've being hearing about these made to order omelets one of the vendors offers for quite some time.
THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT!
We sat by a lovely fountain and enjoyed our breakfast.

We then picked up a giant treat for Tucker from the Three Dog's Bakery and headed back to the hotel.

It was now time for our kayaking adventure.
My one goal was for us to see a dolphin.
We saw two.
One was about 20 feet from us.
It was so very, very cool.
We rented a tandem kayak and Mr. P did about 98% of the arm work so that I could sit back and take in the scenery.

Once we had our fill of kayak fun we grabbed a frosty beverage and lite lunch.

Then we headed to Isle of Palms for a little beach action.
I've never seen a beach so freakin' crowded!
We lasted all of about 30 minutes (a windy beach is no fun when you don't have chairs) on the sand before we headed to the Acme Cantina for a few drinks, a giant burrito and some very tasty wings.

We then headed back to the hotel to pick up our son for one last beach outing.

Our trip ended yesterday afternoon after a meeting with Jerri, our planner, a quick bite at Moe's, and of course I couldn't leave town with a trip to Cupcake.

Hope you all had a lovely weekend.
